Degree Audit Review
What is a Degree Audit?
- A Degree Audit is a checklist of what must be completed in order to graduate from UCF with your chosen degree.
- By tracking your grades, the Degree Audit tracks your progress in your classes and shows what you have left to complete in order to finish your degree.
- Your Academic Advisor will help you with any questions about your Degree Audit when you come in for your orientation advising appointment.
New Student Pre-Orientation Advising
Your Academic Advisor will answer questions about UCF’s General Education Program requirements, academic policies, and academic standards and procedures. They will discuss possible course selections and begin to develop short and long term goals with students. Advisors wish to see students succeed, which makes them on of the best resources to help solve academic issues.
Registration, Drop/Swap, and Add
If a student is seeking an override for excessive hours they must have a minimum 3.0 UCF GPA and a minimum 3.0 term GPA in the preceding semester.
Overrides will be determined on a case-by-case basis. Overrides are not guaranteed and students should plan their schedules accordingly.
Intent to Graduate
Students who intend to graduate must complete the online Intent to Graduate form by logging into myUCF and navigating to the Student Center – Academics > Undergraduate and Graduate Careers > Intent to Graduate> Apply at: Commencement Spring 2015
Students should consult the UCF Academic Calendar for the graduation application deadline during the first month of classes. Students who miss the deadline must contact the College Advising Officesof their major to inquire about earning their degree. Graduating seniors must meet with a Program Advisor to review final degree requirements.

Financial Aid advisors are available to assist with applying for financial aid, questions about financial aid and scholarship information.
Most financial aid documents can be obtained and submitted at the UCF Palm Bay campus. Please check out the UCF financial aid website for general information, scholarship opportunities and to download financial aid forms.
Students can acquire and submit the necessary forms required to satisfy UCF’s mandatory proof of immunizations at the Enrollment Services office.
The Student Services office, serving the Cocoa and Palm Bay campuses, renders a wide range of services for UCF students.
The office shares responsibility for coordinating new student orientation, assisting with veterans benefits, accommodating learning and physical disabilities, and registering new student organizations among other items.
Student Services also serves as a liaison unit to the Orlando campus for departments such as Career Services, Counseling Services, Recreation and Wellness, Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities, and others housed within the Division of Student Development and Enrollment Services.
To ensure new and returning students receive a positive experience during their time at UCF, Student Services works locally with Academic Advising, Enrollment Services, Regional Outreach Services, and various faculty and administrative staff in Cocoa and Palm Bay to meet the needs of students.

- Orientation Services
New Student Orientation sessions are coordinated on the Palm Bay campus through the Student Services office.
This includes on-site and virtual orientation sessions. Course registration restrictions are removed by the Student Services office once all requirements are completed for orientation, which includes meeting with an academic advisor prior to, during, or following completion of orientation. Only students seeking to attend classes in Palm Bay should register for orientation.
Once students are admitted, they can register for orientation.
All students attending orientation through the Palm Bay campus should be transfer students. Students who have recently completed high school and/or may have completed dual enrollment prior to graduating should make plans to attend an orientation session on the UCF Orlando campus.
Veterans Services are available for all veterans and veteran dependents that utilize VA education benefits to further their education.
To receive VA educational benefits, you must be certified through the university. Eligible students are urged to consult their Student Services office early in the process in order to meet VA deadlines and to receive other information.
Certification paperwork may be submitted to the Student Services office or faxed to Orlando Veterans Academic Resource Center or VARC as soon as a class schedule is finalized.
Paperwork, miscellaneous information, and work study opportunities are among the services provided for regional campus veterans and vet dependents at the UCF Regional Campuses. Please, visit the UCF Veterans Services website.
SAS provides testing accommodations, classroom accommodations and help in completing university paperwork, resumes, and registration for students with documented disabilities.

The Office of Career Services provides access to professional development opportunities and career exploration, and the Experiential Learning office is an academic program that offers work experience in their program of study while pursuing their degree.
The Student Services office for the Cocoa and Palm Bay campuses serves as liaison to both Career Services and Experiential Learning, and you can find assistance and information on creating a cover letter, resume development, workshops, and occasionally mock interviews.
Student Services also maintains a list of internships and job postings on bulletin boards as a convenience for regional campus students.

The Recreation and Wellness Center is pleased to partner with the Student Government Association, Regional Outreach Services and Regional Campus Administration to extend our services to students on the Regional Campuses.
Through the Regional Recreation program, memberships are provided to currently enrolled UCF-Cocoa students at the Cocoa YMCA Family Center at Eastern State Florida College.
For UCF students currently enrolled in the Palm Bay campus, memberships to the Elite Fitness Center are provided.
In addition to the fitness facility memberships, the Regional Recreation program offers a variety of programs and services on both the Cocoa and Palm Bay campuses as an extension of what is offered to the students on the Orlando campus.

ROS or Regional Outreach Services is a unit of the Office of Student Involvement and is operated and led by students.
It strives to serve students’ needs by providing services such as free printing, passes to regional wellness centers, free Scantrons, off campus activities and campus networking opportunities throughout the semester.
Many of these services are provided in collaboration with the Student Services. Free beverages and snacks are provided in the student lounge during office hours.
ROS also serves as the campus liaison to the Student Government Association (SGA) assisting in fulfilling the functions of SGA at the campus.
Aside from providing funding for ROS, SGA is responsible for allocating and distributing the student activity fees.
These allocations also fund events and services at the Orlando campus that are available to all students including homecoming activities, speakers, comedians, movies, recreation and wellness center, student union, personal counseling, legal services, scholarships, and funding for student organizations.
Regional Campus students may participate in SGA elections online. Senate elections are held each fall semester, and presidential elections are held each spring semester.

- ID cards
The first copy of a UCF ID card for students, staff, or faculty are provided at no extra charge. A $15 charge will apply for a replacement card and a $10 charge will apply for name change. A student must come to the Cocoa campus for any card requiring a fee.
Cards are made in room 305, building 3 of the Palm Bay campus Monday through Thursday between 8:00am and 5:30pm and on Fridays between 8:00am and 12:00pm (please note, UCF Palm Bay campus is closed on Fridays each summer semester).
Effective July 1, 2014, there is a $40 plus tax charge for an annual parking decal for all students. New decals must be purchased at the beginning of the fall semester every year.
UCF STUDENTS MUST HAVE A EFSC STUDENT DECAL ON ANY VEHICLE PARKED ON ANY EFSC CAMPUS- UCF PARKING DECALS PURCHASED AT THE UCF ORLANDO CAMPUS ARE NOT VALID ON ANY EFSC CAMPUS. FAILURE TO HAVE A VALID EFSC PARKING DECAL WILL RESULT IN A TICKET WITH AN ASSOCIATED FINE.

Any UCF student wishing to pay tuition and fees can come to the computer lab in room 303, building 3 of the UCF Palm Bay campus Monday through Thursday between 8:00am and 5:00pm and on Fridays between 8:00am and 11:30am (please note, UCF Palm Bay campus is closed on Fridays each summer semester).
Tuition and fees can be paid without an added convenience charge using an electronic check. The convenience fee of 2% of the total payment will be assessed for MasterCard, Discover, and American Express. VISA is not accepted.
If you believe that you lost an item in building 3, please contact the Business Services Office with a detailed description of the item.
If you find an item in building 3, please bring it to the Business Services Office. Lost and found items are turned over to BCC Security at the end of each semester.
The UCF Palm Bay computer lab is open Monday – Thursday 8:30am-6:00pm and is located in room 303, building 3, or 321.433.7838.
A Writing Center is not currently avaiable on this campus.
UCF Palm Bay shares a joint-use library with EFSC where you can enjoy the same services as the main campus library, including access to online databases and Interlibrary Loan.
